HardCOPY
HardCOPY is a new bi-annual publication focusing on fashion, music and art. It offers the underdog, the misplaced, the outsider the opportunity and the freedom to be noticed and recognised.
Art direction
HardCOPY offers the misplaced and hard to define a voice. It serves as a cultural beacon for creatives with something to say: a platform for bold voices and untold stories. This drove the art direction for the publication. The eclectic mix of typography allows the design to be expressive yet refined and intimate when needed. Bold primary colours are used to represent diverse areas of culture and society, creating a visual language that’s both striking and inclusive.
Cover typography was inspired by vintage movie posters and continues through the publication to display credits and other secondary information. Large headings represent voices so loud they leave the page, whilst more personal moments float across the pages as conversations unfold.
